About us
Little did I know, the seed for B.Greyt was planted in April 2018. That was when my SO and I officially adopted our first dog- a retired racing greyhound named Mama Carole King (JJ's Carole King). We found her through a wonderful adoption group here in Connecticut, and it wasn't long before I wanted to get more involved with this group. I am on the board and volunteer in other ways too, including fostering recently retired greyhounds and helping others through the adoption process.
So what does any of this have to do with B.Greyt? I fell so head-over-heels in love with Mama Carole and greyhounds in general that the joke started that I'd love to eventually be a stay-at-home greyhound mom. 2020, with everything it threw at us, made that joke a reality! I have always loved creating things, so it only made sense to start using this newfound free time to create. So here we are- an aspiring work-from-home greyhound mom combining her love of creating and jewelry-making with her love of giving gifts!
We adopted our second retired racer, Kuku (PJ Skirt Skirt), at the beginning of January 2021. Kuku is one of Mama Carole's 26 babies, and she is just as wonderful as her mama! January unfortunately also brought some heartbreak as we lost Mama Carole to osteosarcoma towards the end of the month. We miss her dearly, but I love that I am able to share her memory with B.Greyt. She was the inspiration, and she lives on as our logo-- that cute little notched ear is all her!
The B.Greyt Family
Online shopping is so convenient, but it tends to lose the personal touch a bit.

Brandy
Owner and Designer
I've always loved creating. After a couple major life events, Metal & Jewelry classes are one of the few things that got me through high school. I had planned on going to art school after graduating, but the universe had different plans.
Here we are several years later, I'm an aspiring work-at-home greyhound mom, creating jewelry and other gifts that bring me joy. I hope I am able to share that joy with others!
Mama Carole King
The Goodest Girl
Carole was the sweetest lady. She loved all humans, was patient with all creatures, and she never met a snack she didn't like (no lie, she even enjoyed lettuce!). She was a bed hog and a seat thief, but she'd give you a chin kiss and chatter so you wouldn't mind.
She may no longer be with us, but she is still a cornerstone of B.Greyt.
She lives on as our mascot, our logo, and our forever inspiration

Kuku
Resident Hobbit
Kuku retired from racing in October 2020, and joined us as a 'foster' in mid-December 2020, before we officially adopted her January 2021. She's sweet just like her Mama Carole, and her tail never stops wagging! She will serenade you with her favorite squeaky toy as long as you don't try to take it from her! Like all of the B.Greyt ladies, Kuku *loves* food. She would happily eat all seven Hobbit meals every day!
Tater Tot
The Greyter
Tater had quite the journey before we foster failed in August 2021, but that's a story for another time! He is a spook, but has come a very long way with us, and we continue to build his confidence!
Tater is a sweet, silly guy once he gets comfortable with you. He likes to play with toys when he thinks no one is watching, and as a true B.Greyt hound, he loves food! Tater will even dance for us at meal times and has been such a joyful addition to the family!
Eco-Responsibility
Call us tree-hugging hippies if you must, but we care about the planet!
We aim to not create more waste, and plan to move to sustainable, eco-friendly packaging and other materials as we are able to.
Some of our products may also be upcycled/repurposed materials. This information will always be noted, specifically naming what components are re-used
